Week 2- Day 3 (April 20)

Guess what...

I went to the store today for my weekly groceries and I did NOT BUY ANY:
Soda
Ice Cream
Cookies or
Candy!!

Hubby was home at lunch and most of the kids are home from school and so far no complaints! WOW!! It's a miracle! I can hear angels singing "Hallelujah" in the background!

Daily Challenges (worth 1 point each)

- Personal prayer morning and night

- Personal scripture study (whatever you are studying, however long you determine for your goal)

- Exercise (at least 30 min. of whatever workout you desire)

- No eating after dinner (except small healthy snack)

- No sweets (no sugar cereal, candy or typical desserts)

- Personal Challenge (you pick one personal goal to work on daily. Examples: not biting nails, no soda, flossing your teeth, no yelling at your kids). You do not have to disclose what your personal challenge is.

- Rotating Daily Challenge (listed below) Each week we will focus on a new challenge that helps us improve our health.

Rotating Daily Challenge (a different one each week):

Week 1-	Keep a daily food diary.
Week 2-	Drink the proper amount of water
Week 3-	Get the proper fiber intake
Week 4-	100 sit-ups or crunches (may be broken up)
Week 5-	Eat the recommended daily servings of fruit
Week 6-	Get the right amount of sleep
Week 7-	Eat recommended daily servings of vegetables
Week 8-	50 push ups a day (may be broken up)
Week 9-	Only eat carbohydrates that are whole grain (breads, pastas, pitas, tortillas, cereal etc.)
Week 10-	No processed food (avoid anything packaged/transformed... crackers, chips, granola bars)

Weekly Challenges (worth 1 point each):

- Holding Family Night (dedicate one evening each week for some spiritual family instruction and a bonding activity and treat of some sort. It doesn't need to be elaborate, only intentional and fun)!

- Mystery Point: Each week on Sunday, you will be sent an email telling you what you had to have done the week before to earn the mystery point for that week. You can look back on your week to see if you did it or not. You can NOT get a point for doing it after you find out what it is. This is just for fun and to keep things interesting and to keep you guessing!

- Personal choice: Choose something you want to accomplish each week and give yourself a point if you do it. For some this will be achieving their weekly weight loss goal, for others getting to the temple, or saying family prayers more consistently. Whatever you choose!

A few clarifications-

- The weekly challenges only last one week and do NOT compound on top of each other (unless you want to continue them on your own)

- You get one point for each daily challenge you complete every day but you are allowed one CHEAT DAY each week for each daily point. If you finish all 6 days of something, you still get a point for your 7th day even if you did "cheated." For example, if you ate cheesecake on Sunday, you will still get 7 points that week. But... if you eat cheesecake on Saturday and Sunday, you will only get 5 points that week for that particular challenge.
